Tim King’s Top 5 Home & Farm Improvement Project Tips
1. Do Research
Due to the seasonal nature of farming, winter often offers a lighter workload. Use this time to check out books and articles about projects to improve your fields and gardens in the upcoming year.
2. Make a Plan
Once you have completed your research, create a plan for implementing your project. Make sure you have all of the tools and materials you need on hand. Create a schedule for building and for the upcoming growing season.
3. Keep Good Records
Tim keeps track of the work he does, including planting calendars, soil amendment, harvest yields, crop failure and success.
Every piece of land is different. Feel free to modify your project so you can tailor it perfectly to your needs.
5. Fine Tune
After the growing season is over, take time to go over your records and note the challenges and successes of your project. Look for ways to improve it in the upcoming year.
