Lisa is the Mama Bear and matriarch of this big, crazy family. She’ll do anything and everything for her kids, and she’ll do it all fast. Even as the family gets older, Lisa always makes sure she is available to whoever needs her help that day, whether it’s making 100 homemade pies for the Farmers Market or cutting her wild flowers to make into flower arrangements for parties and weddings. And at the end of the day, she still finds time to make dinner for the whole family and keep up with the home. Mama Bear? More like Super Mom.
What is your role on the farm?
I go where I’m needed. Feeling needed as you get older is fulfilling.
How do you see that role changing or growing in the future?
I hope it doesn’t.
What is your favorite family memory?
My favorite memories are always holidays. Easter Egg Hunts, Christmas memories of the kids getting ponies one year and cap guns another.
What is your favorite memory from the show?
Documentation of my growing family and seeing how young everyone looked three years ago.
What do you enjoy about the family business?
Watching it grow and change.
What is something about you that viewers or customers might be surprised to learn?
I color my hair… Yes, I do. Really, Mamma Bear is gray! And you wonder why? It is hereditary. The kids had nothing to do with it. Also, I have a knack for making up words not in the dictionary (yet). It comes in handy when developing new cuisine, like soups.
